The Snowmass Village, Colo., club, previously owned by Aspen Skiing Company, was sold to Toll Golf. Toll intends to make cosmetic changes to the property, and while there are no plans to change the club’s policy that the public can play the course at certain times, the company would like to “slide more to the private side,” by building upon the club’s current 1,000 members.
The first part of the Haymarket, Va., club’s two-step project features upper-level upgrades such as a new lobby for check-in, enlarged cardio and stretching area with top-of-the-line equipment, and a Mind and Body Studio for member relaxation. The final phase of the project at the Toll Golf property is scheduled for completion in mid-to-late 2013.
The golf and country club division of Toll Brothers, Inc., purchased the Upper Marlboro, Md., course on June 14. Toll looks to renovate and re-open the property, which closed in April 2011 and has since been fallow.
For 11 days, the Ashburn, Va., club will use at least 70 percent locally sourced foods, offering a specially created menu for patrons.
With the addition of junior golf clinics, clubs can take pride in cultivating a new generation of golfers, while ensuring the future of their overall business.
The Toll Golf property’s new features include “Ninety-One,” a restaurant named for Greg Norman’s total pro victories.
Patios and outdoor dining venues are providing vibrant gathering areas.
