Items from the historic Saginaw, Mich., club are being sold piece by piece at a two-day auction. A decline in membership prompted the club to close its doors on December 31, 2010 after 154 years of operation.

Germania Town & CC Sold to County

The Saginaw County Mental Health Authority bought the Saginaw, Mich., club’s building for $280,000. The golf course remains under the ownership of First State Bank and is unlikely to open in 2012.
