CMAA Names 32 New CCMs

The Club Managers Association of America has announced 32 new Certified Club Managers. The CCM designation has been a hallmark of professionalism in the club industry since 1965; candidates receive the title by being a Professional CMAA member for six years, investing time in specified education requirements, attending at least one World Conference, maintaining activity within their local chapter, and then passing the CCM exam.

Holiday Fireworks Put Clubs in News Spotlight

Two private clubs in Fort Wayne, Ind. area received coverage for finding ways to safely hold shows despite a burn ban in the county. In Alabama, police were called after a naked man who attended a public fireworks show under the influence of LSD broke into Birmingham CC in search of something to drink.
