The 97-year-old club in Wilmington, Del., which is owned by the DuPont company, informed members that the “process to explore a potential sale” has been initiated. Maintaining the property as a club has been established as a requirement of a sale agreement, it was stated. There have been concerns in recent years that the 525-acre site would be sold for potential development.
