ClubCorp Announces Continued Growth, Oakhurst G&CC Acquisition, and Eric Affeldt’s Pending Retirement
The management firm reported its twelth consecutive quarter of growth while saying it would not pursue being acquired for the time being, noting that it had not received a purchase proposal for the entire company. American Culinary Federation Team Places Fourth at International Culinary Olympics
ACF Culinary National Team USA ranked fourth in the world overall and won two gold medals in the 24th Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung International Culinary Exhibition, held October 22-25, in Erfurt, Germany. Two of the ACF Culinary USA teams—national and youth—finished in the top 10 and featured several chefs from leading private clubs.
ClubCorp Reports Tenth Consecutive Quarter of Growth
The Dallas-based owner and operator of private clubs has seen revenue increase $4 million or 1.6% in the third quarter over the previous year, and net income has remained flat. Going forward, the company plans to reduce capital spending, including fewer planned same-store reinventions in 2017, and using excess cash to pay down debt.

ClubCorp Sees Decline in Shares, Joins NCA
Shares of the Dallas-based club owner and operator fell 9.2% on April 7 following an attack by a short seller, but analysts polled by Bloomberg have 11 buy ratings, one hold and no sell recommendations on the company. ClubCorp is also now a member of the National Club Association, which actively lobbies for the private club industry.
ClubCorp Expects Record Full-Year and Fourth-Quarter Results
The management firm announced preliminary and unaudited fiscal-year 2015 financial results that showed total revenue up 19.1% from 2014. Despite a 100-year rain event in Texas during 2015 and the current volatility in the oil market, same-store combined clubs revenue in that state, where ClubCorp has 42 properties, was up 2% from 2014 with accelerated growth in the fourth quarter, and President/CEO Eric Affeldt expressed “confidence in the resiliency of our business.”

Tom Henderson, from Round Hill Club in Greenwich, Conn., has been named the 62nd recipient of the PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award. Cameron McCormick, from Brook Hollow GC and Trinity Forrest GC in Dallas, was named the PGA Teacher of the Year.
