January 2009
The McMahon Group is launching a new subscription publication geared toward club Managers and Board members. The purpose is to provide the club industry with some in-depth research and direction on major club issues like Membership retention; Membership attraction; The importance of dining; The new role for golf; The impact of high-quality facilities; The critical need for good management; The essentials for good governance; and How to well serve the two essential membership groups – “Up and Comers” and aging “Boomers.”
Club Trends™ will be patterned after publications like The Harvard Business Review, except that it looks at issues only from the private club viewpoint. Club Trends™ will be issued on a quarterly basis throughout the year starting in June for the first subscription edition.
The cost is $950 for the all inclusive, annual subscription price or $295 per edition. The initial, introductory edition on membership retention will be sent to McMahon’s 5,000 person mailing list and will be given out at the New Orleans Show.
