Pound Ridge GC Announces New Assistant Professionals

Pound Ridge Golf Club, Pete Dye’s new and only course design in New York, announces the addition of three assistant PGA golf professionals to the staff. David Patrone, Adam Smith and Terry Slater will oversee golf operations, including management of the golf shop and tournaments, while providing exceptional service to golfers. Additionally, Mike DiBuono will offer an extensive program of golf instruction. The course is scheduled to open for public play the first week of July.
David Patrone has worked in the Connecticut area for more than a decade and he most recently was the teaching professional and oversaw golf operations at Birchwood Country Club in Westport, Connecticut.
Adam Smith became a Class A member of the PGA in November 2007. Before joining Pound Ridge, Smith was the teaching and first assistant professional at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton, Connecticut.
Terry Slater, an accomplished golfer who qualified for the 2000 U.S. Amateur at Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey, began his golf career as an assistant professional at Pipers Landing Yacht and Country Club in Palm City, Florida.
Michael DiBuono, has been named the Director of Golf Instruction. DiBuono is a Class A PGA of America member, and has been connected to the Pound Ridge community and the former 9-hole course for nearly thirty years.
