Club Fitness Group Takes Shape

Seven years ago, five club spa and fitness directors from private clubs in Florida’s Palm Beach County formed the Club Spa & Fitness Association (CSFA) to network and share ideas.“After the last annual meeting, we figured we’d make it a legitimate association,” says Shayne Kohn, Vice President and founding member of CSFA.

CSFA has since partnered with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the International Spa Association (ISPA), along with colleges and universities, to develop a curriculum for spa and fitness directors and the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).

In the next couple of months, look for CSFA to expand nationally, with affiliates forming in Texas and Minnesota, followed by Las Vegas, Arizona and California. For more information, visit www.csfassociation.com or
