Dan Dinelli, a third-generation golf course superintendent and contributor of Club & Resort Business’ popular “Super to Super” interview features since 2006, has been selected by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) to receive its 2009 President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship. 

Dinelli, who has worked in course maintenance at North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Ill. for 34 years, and has been its Superintendent since 1993, is a staunch supporter of integrated pest management (IPM) and an advocate for new practices to reduce the inputs needed to provide competitive golf turf conditions. 

The award will be presented during the Opening Session of the 2009 GCSAA Education Conference in New Orleans on Thursday, February 5, 2009.
