Traveling with teens can be a challenging proposition, as many parents know—if a teenager isn’t happy on vacation, no one’s happy.

Loews Hotels is hoping to come to parents’ rescue with the Loews Hotel “Edu-cations”—exclusive year-round packages which include a one- or two-night hotel stay and a combination of entertaining, fun and educational activities that will appeal to this hard-to-please and hard-to-shop for age group.

“Educational travel is one of today’s top trends,” said Jonathan Tisch, Chairman and CEO of Loews Hotels and father of two teenage boys. “Our ‘Edu-cations’ add depth to vacation in a very fun and distinctive way—learning a new skill like surfing or going behind the scenes at The NASDAQ Stock Market’s broadcast facility, the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square to view bell ceremonies and hear about the financial markets—these are just amazing opportunities that are unique to Loews Hotels.”

At Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, “My Super Suite Vacation” includes a two-night stay, two spa treatments in the resort’s Teen Spa Room and private surfing lessons on surfboards that are custom-designed for each teen to take home. Prior to arriving, teens select their board size and color and can add personal photos or other graphics to their board. The package starts at $2,000.

At the Loews Vanderbilt in Nashville, the "Music and Lyrics by Loews" package includes a song-writing session with award-winning songwriter, Thom Shepherd, who wrote the Number 1 hits "Redneck Yacht Club" and "Riding With Private Malone;" a Gibson acoustic guitar; a one-hour guitar lesson; a performance by aspiring singers/songwriters at the famed Bluebird Café, where Garth Brooks, Kathy Mattea and Vince Gill got their starts and one-night accommodation for up to two adults and two children. The package starts at $1,200.

At the Loews Regency Hotel in New York, the “Inside Financial Markets” package includes a Power Breakfast for two at the Loews Regency, with rotating speakers from the financial world; viewing of the Nasdaq Opening Bell and a tour of NASDAQ’s Marketsite; a photograph of the person’s image on the Nasdaq Tower; transportation to-from NASDAQ’s Marketsite and one-night accommodation in a Luxury Double room for up to two adults and two children including special turn-down amenity. The package starts at $900.

At the Loews Lake Las Vegas, PGA pros take teens to the links and help make any aspiring golfer feel like a pro. The “Put like a Pro” package includes an individual, two-hour, teen-based clinic at the Lake Las Vegas Golf Institute, including putting, chipping and pitching; customized PING Putter Fitting (putter will be sent to the home); subscription to the golf magazine of guest’s choice; video of your lesson sent to the home and TEEn-Up Golf Pack which includes Loews travel backpack, golf shirt, golf hat and golf balls. The package starts at $600.

At Loews Miami Beach Hotel, the "Culinary Arts Experience" includes a two-night stay in a deluxe ocean-front room, a one-on-one South Beach exclusive "food arts" lesson with Barton G. Weiss, world-renowned event planner and restaurateur, who is celebrated for his superior designs and astounding culinary presentations. Teens will learn how to make dramatic food presentations, table settings and decor for anything from a dinner party to a Sweet Sixteen. Teens and their parents are then treated to a unique dining experience at the elite “Barton G. The Restaurant.” Teens also receive a customized apron personalized by Barton. The "Culinary Arts Experience" starts at $1,550.
