Bright Outlook for Dismal River

The Dismal River Club, a private golf retreat in the central Nebraska Sandhills region near Mullen, Neb., has now opened. The 2,900-acre parcel includes some of the finest golf terrain in the world. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Dismal River boasts an 18-hole, links-style course measuring 7,600 yards from the championship tees and 6,700 yards from the member tees. Amenities include an 18,000-sq.-ft. clubhouse, complete with a “saloon” lounge, four bowling lanes, hunting and golf simulators, card room, pool tables and a wine room.
