The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) will be increasing its investment of resources for outreach on the Golf Channel this year to promote the superintendent profession, and the association, with two promotional spots featuring Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman. The superintendent’s profession and GCSAA will also receive exposure on ESPN in September as part of “The People vs. The Pros” program.

The United States Golf Association is adding a new golf history center to its museum and archives. It will be named the “Arnold Palmer Cnter for Golf History” in honor of the three-time USGA champion. Palmer has also served as the national chairman of the association’s members program since its 1975 inception.
The center, which will be a 22,000-square-foot addition to the existing structure, is schedued to open in 2008.
