The View at Morgan Hill is replacing Morgan’s Table as part of the sale of the Easton, Pa., property, which was previously named The Club at Morgan Hill. The restaurant has been renovated and offers a revamped menu.
New restaurant The View at Morgan Hill is debuting at Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton, Pa., the Easton-based Express-Times reported.
The new restaurant replaces Morgan’s Table as part of the sale of the former Club at Morgan Hill golf course. The course was sold to the same family that runs Bella Vista Golf Course in Gilbertsville, Pa., and Mainland Golf Course in Harleysville, Pa., according to Director of Golf Patrick Mallory.
The sale was made official March 10, Mallory said. The View at Morgan Hill takes over the space that was occupied by Vintage Restaurant for 10 years, then Morgan’s Table, which debuted in January, the Express-Times reported.
The restaurant’s fixtures have been changed, along with new carpet, paint and decor. A new 75-inch television hangs above the bar. Instead of five beer taps, the new bar boasts eight, plus six new wine taps, the Express-Times reported.
A new chef, Randy Slemmer, has ushered in a new menu featuring sandwiches, ribs, crab cakes, ribeye and salads. Chairs and tables will be replaced in the restaurant, and the menu will be expanded in the coming weeks, the Express-Times reported.
Menu highlights include: Grilled Salmon BLT Wrap (Grilled Atlantic filet, hardwood-smoked bacon, shredded Bibb lettuce, oven-roasted basil-infused tomatoes, pineapple-dill aioli in a grilled white flour tortilla); Shellfish A la Angel hair (jumbo shrimp, lump crab meat, local herbs, fresh seasonal veggies in a white wine garlic broth); and Blackened Ahi Tuna (filet of fish dusted with Cajun spice, pan-seared, served over an orange-honey risotto with pineapple-dill aioli), the Express-Times reported.
The new restaurant will be more affordable, offer more options and will be family-friendly, Mallory said. New hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday, and an official grand opening will likely be planned at a later date, the Express-Times reported.
Changes to the golf course include the addition of rangers and clocks to speed up the pace of play, Mallory said. The course will operate with 10-minute tee times instead of nine, and senior tees will be added, the Express-Times reported.
