Topgolf will open on January 30, offering a three-level, 65,000-sq. ft. facility with dozens of hitting bays equipped with TV screens, heated seating, food, drinks, and music.
Topgolf, described as a “driving range on steroids,” with food, drinks and music, is set to open its first location in San Antonio on January 30, the San Antonio Business Journal reported.
The Dallas-based company has 15 locations in the U.S. and soon will open its 16th in San Antonio. The three-level, 65,000-sq. ft. facility includes dozens of hitting bays that come equipped with TV screens, seating (which are heated in cold weather) and a view of the lighted range, the Business Journal reported.
The range includes various targets. Players hit microchip-embedded golf balls onto the range and are awarded points based on whether the player hits the ball into the target or reaches a certain distance, the Business Journal reported.
Each driving range bay, which has a table for six, is rented by the hour for $40 during peak times, which include weekday nights and weekends, or $20 during non-peak hours. Each bay can accommodate six players and includes golf clubs, even for left-handed players and children, the Business Journal reported.
The San Antonio facility also includes a restaurant and bar on the second floor, event space for parties and corporate events, and a rooftop bar, the Business Journal reported.
