Members of the Cardinal Club and the Capital City Club, two business clubs formerly known as the Downtown Clubs of Raleigh, will have access to the $3 million project, slated for completion in August.
ClubCorp’s latest business club reinvention, City Club Raleigh, is underway in the Cardinal Club’s former location. Members of the Cardinal Club and the Capital City Club, two ClubCorp properties formerly known as the Downtown Clubs of Raleigh, will enjoy the new, expanded facility.
The more-than-$3 million reinvention project will transform the 28th and 29th floors of the Wells Fargo Capitol Center into one modern, 23,000-sq. ft. private club. Arrangements will be made to allow for members’ continued use of the club as it undergoes its reinvention and the Capital City Club will remain open into the summer months.
Slated for completion in August, the new City Club Raleigh’s features include:
· Upscale dining room with spectacular city views and new, innovative menus
· Casual Anytime Lounge and Grill overlooking Fayetteville Street
· Private dining rooms for intimate gatherings, both personal and professional
· Small meeting spaces equipped with flat-screen televisions, conference telephones, and Wi-Fi
· Stylish e-lounge, an informal “work zone” setting where members can plug in away from the hubbub of the office or unwind with a craft beer and game of ping-pong
· Expansive ballroom for large-scale events
“The reinvented space will energize City Club Raleigh and bring the memberships of Cardinal Club and Capital City Club under one roof,” said General Manager Mark Michie. “The reinvented club’s fresh look, impeccable cuisine, and innovate programming will allow us to have an even greater impact as a business and social center for the Raleigh community.”
“We are thrilled that the reinvention has begun,” said Board of Governors member David Diaz. “This exciting new beginning will provide members state-of-the-art amenities, further enhancing our private club experience.”
