Cherry Valley CC in Skillman, N.J., has kicked off a multimillion-dollar clubhouse renovation that is slated to be complete this summer, which will include a new pub, Anytime Lounge, and outdoor patio with fire pit. Woodside Plantation CC in Aiken, S.C., has completed its renovation project, including a new Mulligan’s Grill and the addition of an elevated outdoor terrace.
Cherry Valley Country Club’s extensive multimillion-dollar clubhouse renovation is underway. Slated to be complete this summer, the Skillman, N.J., property will add contemporary new décor and expanded dining and social features.
“These new amenities are taking the club to a new level, providing a modern setting and more opportunities for members to gather and entertain family and friends,” said General Manager Dan DeCrow.
The ClubCorp property’s project includes:
· New casual pub
· New Anytime Lounge where members can invite family and friends to dine in style
· New outdoor patio with fire pit
“The members are very excited about the upcoming changes to the club,” said Tom Amato, president of the club’s Board of Governors. “We all take great pride in the club and these improvements will only further establish Cherry Valley Country Club as the centerpiece of the community.”
The private family club is located within four miles of historic Princeton and features an 18-hole Rees Jones-designed championship golf course. Cherry Valley offers casual and formal dining, extensive tennis center, fitness, Bocce ball courts, and an aquatics facility with a magnificent pool, separate walk-in kiddie pool, shaded deck seating and poolside cabana dining.
Woodside Plantation Country Club, a ClubCorp property in Aiken, S.C., has completed a major renovation project that includes a new Mulligan’s Grill and the addition of an elevated outdoor terrace.
“These recent renovations—bringing modern and fresh dining and social settings—come at the perfect time for Woodside,” said General Manager Jay Rusch. “Our members now have even more opportunities to gather and entertain family and friends.”
The newly expanded Mulligan’s Grill—featuring an enhanced bar, TVs throughout, a communal table with charging stations for electronic devices, and innovative new menu items—provides the ideal spot to relax after a round of golf and catch up on the latest news or sporting events. Overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, the completely new 2,000-sq. ft. outdoor patio includes a fire pit with casual seating.
“The timing of these two major enhancements to the club is particularly noteworthy,” said Michael Koon, president of the club’s board of governors. “Not only do we have the best of the spring weather to enjoy the new patio ourselves, but we also get to show off and share our upgraded facility with our guests and visitors for Masters Week as well as upcoming golf, tennis, and social events. I think these two venues will be a gathering place for members and friends for a long time to come.”
Woodside Plantation Country Club offers 45 holes of golf with two 18-hole courses—the Wisteria and Plantation courses—and Hunters Run, a nine-hole executive par-3 course. The club is also home to a tennis facility with 10 lighted tennis courts and a courtside café, a 25-yard swimming pool, and children’s wading pool. The colonial-style clubhouse offers Mulligan’s Grill, a formal dining room and three private dining rooms.
