The recipients of the peer-selected honors, through the awards program co-sponsored by the McMahon Group and Club & Resort Business, will be honored at a special dinner held in February in San Diego during the CMAA Conference. This year’s winners include Robert Jones of Desert Mountain Club, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Eric Dietz of Lakewood Country Club, Rockville, Md.; Paul Skelton of The Country Club at DC Ranch, Scottsdale, Ariz.; John Dorman of The University Club of New York (N.Y.); and Michael A. Chase, Jr. of The Loxahatchee Club, Jupiter, Fla.
Recipients of the 2012 Excellence in Club Management (ECM) Awards, co-sponsored by the McMahon Group and Club & Resort Business, have been announced. The annual awards are selected through nominations submitted on behalf of qualified candidates by other parties. Award recipients are selected solely on the basis of their achievements at the club they currently manage; “lifetime achievements” are not considered.
A Selection Committee comprised of a peer group of club managers conducts the judging; the McMahon Group and Club & Resort Business are not involved in the selection of the award winners.
A full listing of judges, in addition to information on past winners and on how to nominate candidates for future years’ awards, can be found at the special website for the ECM Awards program, www.clubmanageraward.com
The 2012 winners will be honored at the Excellence in Club Management Awards annual dinner, to be held Saturday, February 9 at The University Club Atop Symphony Towers in San Diego during the Club Managers Association of America conference.
