Honours Golf to Manage Maggie Valley Club & Resort

The 50-year-old property near Asheville will be the first North Carolina club in the portfolio of the Birmingham, Ala.-based management company.

Honours Golf Company has been selected by The Colonial Company to provide management services for Maggie Valley Club & Resort, an upscale golf community in Maggie Valley, N.C. The appointment marks the first addition of a North Carolina property to the portfolio of the Birmingham, Ala.-based management company, in addition to 10 clubs in Alabama, three in Florida and one in Mississippi.

Located near Waynesville and Asheville in western North Carolina, Maggie Valley Club offers a year-round operation in a resort atmosphere to residents, golfers and vacationing families. The centerpiece of the property is a 6,500-yard championship course that offers panoramic views of the valley and mountain ridgelines. The course design by William Prevost Sr. incorporates some of western North Carolina’s most spectacular scenery, with an elevation rise of 800 feet between the front Valley Nine and the more challenging Mountain Nine. Flanked by centennial trees, the fairways feature native foliage, perennial gardens and creek-fed ponds.

In addition to overseeing golf operations, Honours Golf will also manage other amenities and services offered at Maggie Valley Club. The resort offers dining at the Pin High Bar & Grille, fitness center, tennis courts and a heated swimming pool. The property includes approximately 40 condominiums available for vacation rentals and stay-and-play golf packages.
