Olde Stonewall Golf Course Sells for $15 Million

An entrepreneur purchased the Ellwood City, Pa., golf course and its adjoining 30,000-sq. ft. restaurant, Shakespeare’s Restaurant and Pub. The course is currently ranked in the top 50 public courses in the U.S. by Golf Digest.

Sewickley entrepreneur Joseph Nocito bought Olde Stonewall Golf Course and the adjoining Shakespeare’s Restaurant and Pub for $15 million on August 31, the Sewickley (Pa.) Patch reported.

The Ellwood City, Pa., golf course and 30,000-sq. ft., castle-like restaurant clubhouse opened in 1999 under former owner Rick Hvizdak, Sewickley Patch reported.

In its first year of operation, Olde Stonewall was selected as one of Golf magazine’s Top Ten new public courses of 1999, and is currently ranked in the top 50 public courses in the U.S. by Golf Digest.
