The complex, which will include a 2,400-sq. ft. recreational building, green space for sports with synthetic turf, regulation-size basketball court, playground, gazebo and hard-surface tennis court, will begin construction Nov. 1 with a projected completion date of early 2013.
The Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., will commence construction of a new Sports Complex, located steps from the community’s 50,000-sq. ft. main clubhouse after its membership approved nearly $2 million in enhancements.
The private, member-owned club’s multi-purpose Sports Complex will include a 2,400-sq. ft. recreational building, with a green space for sports and other activities that will be equipped with functional and hearty synthetic turf that will not require the application of pesticides or other chemicals outside the building.
Also featured in the complex will be a regulation-size basketball court, a playground with a forgiving “fall zone” surface, a gazebo, and a hard-surface tennis court, which will conform to United States Tennis Association regulations for juniors, thereby offering them more desirable conditions for tournament preparation.
“We are thrilled to have the community’s emphatic support of this unique country club amenity!” said General Manager and COO Matt Lambert. “We are in a very competitive real estate market and the approval of this project shows that our community believes in consistent, responsible investments in our facilities. We feel that this project will not only solidify The Country Club at Mirasol as the most desired community in Palm Beach Gardens, but will also build on one of our strengths – our young families – to help differentiate Mirasol from our competition. We are fortunate to be in the financial position to be able to fund this entire project out of our capital reserves, without member assessment or financing.”
Construction for the new complex will begin Nov. 1 with a completion date set for early 2013.
