In other industry personnel news, Gleneagles CC has named a new Food & Beverage Director, and Bent Pine GC has hired an Executive Chef.
Personnel announcements made in the club industry this week included these management appointments:
- The Country Club of Roswell (Ga.) announced two new hires. After a nationwide search, Mike Davis was named General Manager, a position that has been vacant since last summer, the Roswell Patch reports. Davis previously held GM positions at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Ill., and Ballantyne Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.
Also, Ed Van Buren has joined the staff as the Country Club of Roswell’s new Controller, after spending the last 12 years as Vice President of Finance for Fountainhead Development in Braselton, Ga. Van Buren also held corporate accounting positions with U.S. Healthworks and Hayes Corporation.
- Gleneagles Country Club in Delray Beach, Fla., has welcomed Laura Hunt as its new Director of Food & Beverage. Hunt is originally from Norfolk, England and is joining the team after stints at the Ritz-Carlton Club in Jupiter, Fla., and The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla.
- Tyler Colby has been named the new Executive Chef at Bent Pine Golf Club in Vero Beach, Fla. Colby attended Fort Myers Culinary Institute in Fort Myers, Fla., and previously served as Executive Sous Chef and Interim Executive Chef at the Philadelphia (Pa.) Cricket Club and as Executive Chef at Spring Ford Country Club in Royersford, Pa.
