The Shelby, N.C. club, established in 1927, offers an 18-hole, John LaFoy-designed course with 6,389 yards of golf.
The Wilderman Group, a hospitality management organization based in Charleston, S.C., will manage Cleveland Country Club in Shelby, N.C.
“It is our hope that the entrepreneurial spirit of The Wilderman Group will increase the level of attention to detail in all aspects of running our club on a day-to-day basis, and we look forward to working with them,” said Jamey Davis, President of Cleveland CC’s Board of Directors.
The 18-hole, John LaFoy-designed course features 6,389 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The club also features clay and hard surface tennis courts, a pool and a recently renovated clubhouse.
Wilderman has further ties with Cleveland County; it was selected to manage the LeGrand Center, a $19-million, 40,000-sq.-ft. conference center that set to open in August 2012.
Cleveland Country Club, the only private golf course in Cleveland County, was established in 1927.
