The Peninsula Junior Classic will host 96 amateur players at the Millsboro, Del., club, which will kick off with a qualifier and practice round shotgun.
The Peninsula Golf & Country Club will host 96 players for the Peninsula Junior Classic when the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) goes to Millsboro, Del., for the first time on August 13-16.
An 18-hole TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier will be held prior to the event on August 12 at Sussex Pines Country Club in Georgetown, Del., giving juniors an opportunity to “play their way in” or build status for entry into a future event.
A practice round shotgun will be held August 13 and first round play will begin August 14 with first through final round tee times from 7 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.
Some top juniors will also take part in the Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament, which allows amateurs to play alongside future stars of the game. It also allows AJGA to make contributions to local golf charities and programs in hosting communities.
