Marriott Golf Properties in Orlando to Host Family Golf Festival

Free golf instruction and play will be offered by the Faldo Golf Institute and Grande Pines Golf Club.

As an alternative to playing 18 holes, golfers of all ages and abilities are being invited to join their family members to experience the true meaning of “family togetherness on the links” through a program that will be held on Saturday, July 28 by Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club and Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott in Orlando.

Marriott’s Family Golf Festival will encourage parents and children to learn and play the game together, by inviting families to Marriott Golf properties for free golf instruction, clinics, interactive golf games, family golf programs and other activities that include chances to win a variety of prizes. Families who attend the event will also be able to take advantage of free golf at the Grande Pines Golf Club, based on availability.

The Family Golf Festival follows other efforts made in previous years by Marriott to promote family golf. In 2006, Marriott Golf launched “Kids Golf-4-Free,” while allows kids up to 15 years old to golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult after 3 p.m. In addition, Marriott Golf offers free lessons anytime to kids up to 15 years old when accompanied by an adult who is taking a fully paid lesson from a Marriott Golf instructor at a participating location.

Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club and Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott are part of Marriott’s Grande Vista, a Marriott Vacation Club Resort, and are open to owners, guests and the general public.

Marriott has been managing golf operations since 1970 and Marriott Golf now manages 53 golf courses at 42 locations in 12 countries, offering more than 1,000 holes of championship golf.
