A new Executive Chef at The Club at Mediterra and a new Head Golf Pro at Monarch Beach Golf Links also highlight this week’s announcements of club management appointments.
Personnel announcements made in the club industry this week included these management appointments:
• KemperSports announced that Randy Morrison has been named the new General Manager of Heron Lakes Golf Club in Portland, Ore. and that Gary Glaser is the new General Manager of The Crossings at Carlsbad in Carlsbad, Calif. Morrison spent five years performing leadership roles in the food and beverage industry in New York and Oregon before he accepted the role of Operations Manager at Heron Lakes in 2007. Glaser served as Director of Golf and Interim General Manager at The Crossings since it opened. He also worked as Director of Golf for Eagle Ridge Golf Resort in Gilroy, Calif., and La Costa Spa and Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
• Tyler Field, CEC, has joined The Club at Mediterra, Naples, Fla. as Executive Chef. Field comes to Mediterra (“Back on Solid Ground,” C&RB, May 2012), from Isleworth Golf & Country Club, Windermere, Fla., where he served as sous chef/chef de cuisine for six years, working under Certified Master Chef Russell Scott. Field holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree from the Culinary Institute of America.
• Monarch Beach Golf Links and OB Sports Golf Management appointed Hide Yoshinaga as Head Golf Professional for the Dana Point, Calif., property. Prior to this appointment, Yoshinaga served as Head Golf Pro at Sunset Hills Country Club in Thousand Oaks, as well as various management positions at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, Calif., including Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional.rss
