With Fifth Set of Tees, Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa Gets New Course Rating

The resort property wants golfers to have more choices, to help them experience more enjoyable rounds.

Golfers at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa have a fifth set of tees and a new course rating to enjoy at the Denis Griffiths-designed golf course in Young Harris, Ga.

The fifth set of tees allows golfers of all skill levels to play. Four sets of tees for men start at 5,307 yards and stretch out to over 7,000 yards, and the club offers three sets of tees for women.

Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are determined by a USGA Course Rating and USGA Slope Rating for each set of tees, which are calculated and certified by the authorized golf associations.

“The new course rating is important because it helps golfers understand the proper set of tees to play for the slope and yardage. By selecting the right tees, golfers can experience a more enjoyable round of golf,” said Brasstown Valley’s Director of Golf, Steven Phelps, PGA.

Packages at Brasstown Valley start at $264 per night for double occupancy. Sunday through Thursday stays include unlimited greens and cart fees and use of driving and practice ranges. Friday and Saturday stays allow one round of golf, a golf cart and unlimited use of driving and practice ranges.
