Bonita Springs, Fla., club to invest $4.8 million to expand dining areas, enhance golf practice facilities and refurnish dining rooms.
Shadow Wood Country Club in Bonita Springs, Fla., will undergo a $4.8 million renovation to expand interior and al fresco dining areas and gathering spaces, and also remodel the 30,000-sq. ft. clubhouse’s Grill Room. The investment also includes an expansion of the golf practice facilities and driving range, as well as enhanced views of the 18th green along the South Course, designed by Bob Cupp.
The project is currently underway and is scheduled for completion in mid-October. It was approved by an 81 percent vote by the members, who took ownership of the club in 2010.
Additional improvements include refurnishing of dining rooms, a fire pit on the new outdoor covered patio, a wrap-around awning-covered terrace, and The Grill Room Bar, which will offer indoor and outdoor seating in a clubroom-type atmosphere.
The men’s grill will more than double in size, with seating for 60 and additional TVs. The ladies’ card room will gain four tables, a golfer’s lounge and private shower suites in the redesigned bathroom.
