The award for the Director of Golf at Desert Spring Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif. acknowledges performance in sales and profit, customer satisfaction, personnel development and innovative programming.
John Faulk, Director of Golf at Desert Springs Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, Calif., has been named Marriott Golf’s Golf Professional of the Year.
Golfer satisfaction is among the highest of any Marriott Golf property under Faulk’s guidance. Feedback from customers is based on overall golfing experience, including customer service, condition of the golf course, overall value based on price and desire to recommend to others.
The award honors an individual who consistently performs and exceeds in areas of sales and profit, leadership in personnel development, innovative program development and affinity programs.

The Desert Springs Golf Club offers 36 holes and two championship layouts, The Palms Course and The Valley Course, designed by Ted Robinson.
