The second annual event, held at White Water CC in Fayetteville, Ga., attracted thirty sponsors and twenty teams and doubled the total amount raised in year one.
For the second consecutive year, Hoshizaki America, Inc., the Peachtree City, Ga.-based manufacturer of foodservice equipment, has hosted a scramble golf event to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. This year’s event held on behalf of the organization that raises aid for severely injured service men and women was held on Friday, May 11, at White Water Country Club in Fayetteville, Ga.
More than thirty sponsors and twenty teams made generous donations that doubled the amount contributed last year and raised a total of $20,000.
The day began with a military march and bag pipes, followed by entertainment by Rocky “Rockstar” Shipes, a pro trick-shot performer. The event was closed with dinner, a check presentation and an awards banquet that included speaker, Sergeant First Class Hugh Conlon IV.
