Bay Terrace CC Hosts First Community Flea Market

Private Flushing, N.Y., swim club features local businesses while marketing its own offerings.

Bay Terrace Country Club, in Flushing, N.Y., hosted what it hopes will be the first of many community flea markets on May 5, The Western Queens Gazette reported.

Not only did the market feature local Bayside businesses like Tastefully Simple, New Yawk Baking Company and Elements Healing Arts Center Massage, it also spread the word about the club.

“The response to our flea market has been extraordinary and we hope to continue this next year,” said Board Member Giovanna Guerci. “Because we are a members-only club, a lot of people do not know that we are here. Events like our flea market help get the word out to the community that the Bay Terrace Country Club is here for all to enjoy.”

Bay Terrace is a cooperatively owned private swim club that overlooks Little Neck Bay. The club offers group swim lessons, water aerobics, one of the largest pools in Queens, and other pool amenities.
