PGA of America pro Tom Underwood, formerly with Panama CC and Lakota Canyon Ranch GC, has been appointed as new GM of the club in Bullhead City, Ariz.
Hampton Golf has added Laughlin Ranch Golf Club of Bullhead City, Ariz., to its management portfolio. The Jacksonville, Fla.-based golf course management and development firm has assigned PGA of America pro Tom Underwood to be Laughlin’s new General Manager of the golf course and club facilities.
Underwood previously managed Panama Country Club in Lynn Haven, Fla., and Lakota Canyon Ranch Golf Club in New Castle, Colo., and has a total of more than 18 years of experience in the golf industry.
“The addition of Laughlin Ranch to the Hampton family marks an important shift in our efforts to expand our golf course operations services throughout the United States,” said M.G. Orender, president of Hampton Golf and 33rd president of The PGA of America.
“Tom’s background in the industry as both a professional and a golf club manager will be a tremendous asset in helping to relaunch [Laughlin Ranch] under Hampton Golf’s management,” Orender added.
Located 90 miles from Las Vegas, Laughlin Ranch is open to the public and also makes memberships available. The club offers four sets of tee boxes for varying levels of expertise and extends 7,000 yards with significant elevation changes.
Planned improvements to the facility include enhanced food and beverage offerings and service; introduction of new events and tournaments; and diversified options for annual and snowbird membership.
“Laughlin Ranch offers an unforgettable experience and desert oasis atmosphere,” said Underwood. “Whether it’s playing a round on our world-class designed golf course, dining in our state-of-the-art clubhouse or spending the day in our pristine spa, our goal is to make all guests feel welcome and want to come back.”
