During the Club Managers Association of America’s world conference, an overflow crowd of over 100 of the country’s most accomplished club managers gathered at the New Orleans Country Club on February 24 to honor the 2011 recipients of the Excellence in Club Management (ECM) Awards, co-sponsored by McMahon Group and Club & Resort Business.
This year’s ECM winners included: Michael Redmond, Assistant General Manager of Food and Beverage, The Metropolitan Club of Washington, D.C.; Jeffrey McFadden, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, The Union League of Philadelphia; Lance Sabella, General Manager, Lakeside Golf Club, Burbank, Calif; Patricia Calder, General Manager, Thornblade Club, Greer, S.C.; and Damon DiOrio, Chief Executive Officer, Charlotte (N.C.) Country Club.
During the dinner, two distinguished club managers for whom the ECM Awards have now been named, Jim Brewer and Mead Grady, were also recognized.
