Many club and resort properties have added rope- and rock-climbing features as additional outdoor attractions that have quickly proved to be popular new parts of fitness and youth camp programs.

Rope-climbing is no longer confined to the outdoors as an adventure activity at the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort.
Most properties don’t feel they have the indoor space to try to offer these features on a year-round, no-matter-what-the-weather basis. But the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., may start a new trend, now that it has built an indoor Northern Lights Sky Ropes Course that was scheduled to be completed and open for business by the end of January.
“This new attraction is going to be fantastic!” enthused Joe Eck, General Manager. “It will tower 30 feet above the Northern Lights Mega Arcade and take guests to a whole new level of fun! Adventure enthusiasts wearing full-body safety harnesses will climb their way around 42 challenges in varying degrees of difficulty, all while discovering how much of a daredevil they truly are!”
The new indoor attraction can be used as part of the Wilderness Resort’s Wild Fun and Extreme Fun Discount Passes, and guests will also be able to purchase a separate admission for $9.
