Co-founder of Grgich Hills Estate winery mingles with members to highlight event at Toll Golf property.
Mountain View Country Club in La Quinta, Calif., one of eleven country clubs owned and operated by Toll Golf, a division of luxury home-builder Toll Brothers, Inc., welcomed Miljenko “Mike” Grgich, the renowned co-founder of the Grgich Hills Estate winery in St. Helena, Calif., as the presenter of its Winemaker/Valentine’s Day Dinner on February 14.
The five-course, fixed-dinner menu was carefully chosen to pair with the winery’s varietals, giving members the chance to taste everything from Grgich Hills’ award-winning Chardonnay to its dessert wine, Violetta Late Harvest. Grgich was also on hand to meet and greet members and sign Grgich Hills Estate bottles that they purchased that night.
“While I come to the desert every winter and know lots of people at Mountain View, it was a real treat to see the club myself for the first time,” said Grgich. “I enjoyed seeing old friends, making new ones and sharing my wines in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. ”
