Delaire Country Club, Delray Beach, Fla., was recently the site of a festive ribbon cutting ceremony to open the club’s new fitness and tennis center.
“The opening of the Fitness and Tennis Center is significant because it represents the completion of the first new building in our club renovation program,” says General Manager Trent Squire. “This is a chance for the members to really experience the new look of Delaire.”
One of the main features of the new facility is the state of the art fitness center, which offers the latest in equipment and technology, as well as Certified Fitness Trainers. There is also an aerobics room, which will be used for fitness classes.
Located on the lower level is the new tennis center, pro shop and observation deck. There is also a new stadium court with room for spectators, which will host tournaments and exhibitions.
The new pool and deck offers furnished cabana-style areas for members and guests while the pool itself features a beach-entry design with sloping water levels that allow individuals to gradually enter the pool.
Apart from the main pool is the kids’ splash & play area, located in a gated section where members with children or grandchildren can watch as the kids enjoy the several different fountains that shoot water in various directions. (For those who only wish to observe, there is plenty of seating surrounding the splash pool to keep dry.) There’s also a new separate children’s playground.
