The Los Angeles Country Club has issued “Junior Bi-Weekly Savings” (JBS) cards to golfers participating in its Junior Program. The cards entitle the holders to a number of discounts around the club, including an additional 10% off in the golf shop for hard goods and apparel bought for the children’s personal use, and a free kids’ meal from the Grill’s children’s menu after completing any of the program’s 13 daily clinics, which are held from mid-March through mid-October. The JBS cards have not only helped to boost Junior Program attendance and sales in the golf shop, the club reports, they have also boosted F&B revenues, because the free kids’ meal feature has encouraged member parents to dine in the Grill Room themselves, after picking up children from the program.
