Brynwood G&CC Names DeMasters as GM, Brown as Clubhouse Manager

Troon Golf, the manager of Brynwood Golf & Country Club, Armonk, N.Y., has announced the appointment of Donald DeMasters as General Manager and David Brown as Clubhouse Manager for the 160-acre private country club in Armonk.

 

DeMasters joins Brynwood after serving as General Manager at Concord Country Club in Pennsylvania and Montgomery Country Club in Maryland. Prior to that, he helped manage The Resort Course and The Palmer Course at the renowned Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio. DeMasters, who has been with Troon for nine years, is a Class A PGA member and is a member of the Club Managers Association of America.

 

Brown spent 15 years managing food and beverage operations at such prestigious clubs as Entrada at Snow Canyon, the Desert Mountain clubs, and The Phoenician Resort. Since joining Troon in 2005, Brown has worked at the corporate level as Troon’s Regional Food and Beverage Director.

 

Formerly known as the Canyon Club, Brynwood Golf & Country Club recently launched a phased improvement plan, which will include renovations to the 65,000-square-foot Clubhouse; upgrading of tennis and pool facilities; adding new fitness equipment; a new fleet of Club Car golf carts; and other recreational amenities.Brynwood will also feature a full calendar of golf, tennis, recreational, social, fitness and family activities.  The Club, which is closed this winter, will reopen in April for the 2010 golf season.
