Chris Ayles Named Teacher Of The Year Of The Southwestern Chapter Of NFPGA

 

Chris Ayles, Director of Instruction at TPC Prestancia in Sarasota, Fla., was recently named Teacher of the Year of the Southwestern Chapter of the North Florida Section of the PGA of America (NFPGA). Chapter award winners were selected at the end of February 2010 by the Southwester Chapter NFPGA awards committee.

The Teacher of the Year Award recognizes a PGA Professional who is an outstanding teacher of golf among the ranks of PGA membership. The award is based on a professional’s overall performance in teaching; unusual, innovative and special teaching programs initiated or implemented; articles published; as well as outstanding golfers the professional has instructed.

Ayles is a life member of the PGA of America and has been the Director of Instruction at TPC Prestancia since January 2008. He previously served at several area clubs including Longboat Key Club, and as part owner of Plant City Golf Club and as the owner of Terra Ceia Bay Golf & Tennis Club.
